# Compare (/platform/workspaces/journal/compare)



**Compare** puts two performances on the same metrics, over the range selected on the [dashboard](/platform/workspaces/journal/dashboard).

| Mode            | What it compares                                                                                         |
| --------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **vs account**  | Two [journal accounts](/platform/workspaces/journal/accounts) side by side. Needs at least two accounts. |
| **vs previous** | This range against the window immediately before it, for the same selection.                             |

Equity curves overlay (blue vs orange). Edge radars do the same. A head-to-head table lists net P\&L, win rate, profit factor, average win / loss, expectancy, max drawdown, and closed trades, with the deltas.

Use **vs account** to see whether a prop book and a personal book behave differently. Use **vs previous** to see whether this month improved on the last.
