The Lux Oscillator is an all-in-one indicator that includes 4 exclusive oscillators that the user can choose. Each oscillator is described in the following pages:
The Lux Oscillator has various settings affecting the appearance and behavior of the indicator, each one described in the sub-sections below:
Determines the type of oscillator to display, options include:
Each type is described in the pages given in features.
Determines the period of each oscillator, with higher length values aiming to give information about longer-term price variations. 17 by default.
Input source of the indicator. This setting allows using external indicators as input for the Lux Oscillator. Close by default.
Determine whether to display dynamic overbought/oversold levels (displayed as zones on the top/bottom pane of the oscillator). Disabling this setting will return fixed overbought/oversold levels with a location that can be changed in the Style settings.
Controls the degree of smoothing applied to the Classic and Normalized oscillators.
Select the smoothing method to use when Confirmation or Normalized is selected in Type. Includes:
EMA (Exponential moving average)
TMA (Triangular moving average)
Hull (Hull moving average)
Lux (An exclusive adaptive smoothing method)
Determines the location of the dashboard on the oscillator pane. Available options include None, Top Right and Bottom Right, with None hiding the dashboard.
Size of the dashboard displayed on the oscillator pane. Available options include Tiny, Small, Normal, and Large.
