The Lux Oscillator is an all-in-one indicator that includes 4 exclusive oscillators that the user can choose. Each oscillator is described in the following pages:
The Lux Oscillator has various settings affecting the appearance and behavior of the indicator, each one described in the sub-sections below:
Determines the type of oscillator to display, options include:
Each type is described in the pages given in features.
Determines the period of each oscillator, with higher length values aiming to give information about longer-term price variations. 14 by default.
Input source of the indicator. This setting allows using external indicators as input for the Lux Oscillator. Close by default.
Controls the degree of smoothing applied to the oscillator when Confirmation or Normalized is selected in Type.
Select the smoothing method to use when Confirmation or Normalized is selected in Type. Includes:
EMA (Exponential moving average)
TMA (Triangular moving average)
Hull (Hull moving average)
Lux (An exclusive adaptive smoothing method)
Determines whether to show or hide the displayed dashboard. Displayed by default.
Various settings control the visual aspect of the indicator, each one is described in the sub-sections below:
Determines the color to be used in the gradient, options include:
Red To Green
Red To Blue
When None is selected no gradient is applied. Red To Green is selected by default.
Determines whether the area between two plots is filled with a color or not.
Transparency of the area between two plots when a gradient is selected.
Determines the value of the overbought/oversold levels displayed by the Lux, Normalized, and Legacy oscillator types.
