Notifications and Destinations
Send alerts in-app, by browser notification, email, Telegram, Discord or Slack, and check delivery results.
A destination is a place an alert sends its message. Add destinations under Send to while creating or editing an alert, or manage them on Account Alerts. Adding a destination and selecting it on an alert are separate steps.
Choose where alerts go

Browser notifications
On Account Alerts, find Browser notifications and choose Turn on for this browser. Allow notifications when prompted. Each browser or device needs its own setup.
If permission is blocked, allow notifications in the browser's site settings and return to Vela. On iPhone and iPad, add the site to the Home Screen first, then enable notifications there. Delivery depends on your browser and operating system's notification settings.
Vela for desktop cannot show browser notifications. Use a supported web browser, or choose email, Telegram, Discord or Slack instead.
Choose Add email to use the address on your account. Under heavy load, alert emails may arrive as a digest.
Unsubscribing from alert emails stops that email destination; alerts can still reach the other destinations you selected. Turn email back on from Your destinations when you want to receive it again.
Telegram
- Choose Connect Telegram.
- Select Open Telegram and press Start in the Vela Alerts bot chat. To use a group, select Add to a group instead.
- Return to Vela and check that the chat appears in Your destinations.
- Select that destination under Send to on the alerts you want delivered there.
The connection link is single-use and expires after 10 minutes. Choose Get a new link if it expires.
Discord and Slack
- In the Discord and Slack card, choose the app.
- Paste the channel's incoming Webhook URL, optionally name the destination, and choose Add channel.
- In Your destinations, choose Send test beside the new channel.
- Confirm that the message arrived, then select the channel under Send to on your alert.
A new channel shows Waiting for a test message until its test succeeds. Discord and Slack destinations are notification channels; the paid-plan webhook requirement applies to the separate Webhook destination type.
Messages and delivery history
Expand a destination's message under Send to to customize it. Use Insert placeholder for values such as the market, price or alert name, and inspect Preview and Message checks before saving. Available placeholders depend on the alert's condition.
Open Alerts, then Log, or choose History on an alert. Each event lists its deliveries, including Sent, Retrying, Failed, Skipped, too late, and Skipped, destination paused. A successful delivery does not confirm that a third-party bot placed an order.
If a destination is Failing or Vela displays a delivery warning, open Review destinations, check its settings and send a test. Pausing a destination stops delivery there without pausing the underlying alerts. Deleting it removes that destination from the alerts that used it.
